Laura joined the firm in 1998 and qualified as a Fellow of ILEX in 2009 then furthered her qualifications by becoming a solicitor in 2013.
The majority of Laura’s career so far has been specialising in the area of law relating to Probate, Wills, Elderly client advice and Court of Protection/Office of the Public Guardian to include Lasting Powers of Attorneys and registering Enduring Powers of Attorney, also joining forces with a number of local Solicitors and charities such as Alzheimer’s, Will Aid, Breakthrough Breast Cancer, Cancer Research UK and many others to raise funds through various Will schemes. Laura finds this work very enjoyable and rewarding.
More recently Laura has been assisting in the Conveyancing Department but mainly now manages the day to day running of the practice and assisting in busier departments as and when necessary.
Frances qualified as a Solicitor in 1992, prior to that she qualified as a Legal Executive and has worked within the legal profession for in excess of 40 years.
Originally, Frances’ expertise was utilised in the area of family law to include divorce, matrimonial finance and children’s matters. On setting up the practice in 1994 she widened her knowledge and experience to include property/residential conveyancing, wills and probate.
Frances’ present role within the practice is managing our regulatory and compliance matters and assisting our Solicitors in all departments with more complex matters.
Jenny joined the firm in July 2017 as Office Manager, assisting with the day to day running of the office.
Jenny has previously worked in well-established Solicitor’s firms across the Birmingham area and in Aberystwyth as a Legal Secretary/Administration Assistant in areas of law including Personal Injury, Crime, Family Law and Care matters, Conveyancing and Wills and Probate and therefore she has the necessary experience to assist in all of our areas of practice as and when required making her an extremely valuable member of our team.
After studying a Law Degree, Samantha trained as a trainee solicitor with a well established firm in Wolverhampton and qualified as a solicitor in 2010. Samantha joined our team in June 2015.
Samantha’s area of expertise covers all types of domestic conveyancing, dealing with Sales, Lease extensions and transfers, also Probate, Wills, Elderly client advice and Court of Protection/Office of the Public Guardian to include Lasting Powers of Attorney.
Bernadette joined our practice in 2013 and has worked in each of our departments for her training contract and upon qualifying as a solicitor in 2015, assisted in our family department gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience.
In 2017 Bernadette then moved into our Wills and Probate department playing an integral role in building her own caseload of Probate, Wills, Elderly client advice and Court of Protection/Office of the Public Guardian to include Lasting Powers of Attorneys and registering Enduring Powers of Attorneys.
Monique qualified as a Solicitor in 2021 and joined our practice in April of the same year.
Monique specialises in all types of family law to include divorce and separation, child contact and residence, financial settlements and domestic abuse, non-molestation orders and Trust of Land claims . Having a strong background in public children law, Monique can also advise in relation to child abuse and neglect as well as Special Guardianship matters. Monique conducts her own advocacy and can represent Clients at hearings.
Monique is committed to helping families and prides herself on taking a sensitive yet pragmatic approach in all her cases.
In her spare time, Monique participates regularly in a voluntary educational work and enjoys spending quality time with her family.
Claire qualified as a Family Law Solicitor in 2002. Her areas of expertise cover Divorce, Separation, Financial Aspects of Divorce, Property Disputes (unmarried parties) Cohabitation and Pre-Nuptial Agreements, Injunctive Relief and Child Disputes (Private Law) to include Child Contact and Child Arrangements. After working in high street practice for many years, Claire took a career break to have a family and then joined our firm in April 2022, assisting our Family Team.
Claire conducts her own advocacy and can represent clients at hearings.
Claire has a personable, empathetic approach and understanding outlook and assists clients to manage their sometimes very complex family arrangements in the best way possible for them.
In her spare time, Claire enjoys photography and fundraising for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Natalie joined our practice in 2021 from an administrative background as our main Receptionist but swiftly developed in her role and has recently become a conveyancing assistant within our property department.
Natalie is now responsible for assisting our conveyancing department on all types of property matters and has already gained a wealth of knowledge in that area and prides herself on being a positive and extremely helpful member of our team.
Bev joined our firm in 2007 and heads up our accounts department whilst also assisting in our property team from time to time.
